The SilverNet SIL 2212 is a compact 10 Gigabit media converter bridging two SFP+ fibre ports, for converting between fibre types or extending a link.
The SilverNet SIL 2212 is part of the Series 2 Mini Fibre Media Converter range, bridging two 10 Gigabit SFP+ fibre ports so that two dissimilar fibre types or wavelengths can be joined, or a link repeated and extended, with distance determined by the SFP+ modules fitted, up to 120km with suitable single-mode transceivers. Its compact metal housing, passive cooling, and DIP-switch controlled Link Fault Pass-Through (LFP) suit confined wiring closets and edge installations. Desktop, wall, or rack-mount installation and a 1-year warranty are included.
