The VCA Technology IPAi355-MR is a 5MP IR Dome AI IP Camera.
The dome housing is the discreet, ceiling-mounted form factor most often specified for retail and office interiors, and the STARVIS sensor is tuned for exactly that kind of mixed, sometimes low, indoor lighting. A motorised zoom lens with autofocus lets the field of view be adjusted remotely after mounting, which matters for a dome fitted flush to a ceiling where physically reaching the lens again is awkward.
As with the rest of the IPAi range, the IPAi355-MR’s analytics run in the camera rather than on a separate box: object detection, queue management and people counting are all available on-device, useful for the retail and hospitality floors this form factor usually goes into. VCA’s own analytics engine and Network Optix Nx Witness are both available as optional plugins, and a Deep Learning object/people tracker can be licensed for more demanding tracking needs.
