The VCA Technology IPAi255-FR is a 5MP Compact IR Fisheye AI IP Camera.
A fisheye lens gives the IPAi255-FR a full 360° (or dewarped 180°) view of the room or open area beneath it from a single ceiling or wall mount, which is why fisheye cameras like this one tend to replace two or three fixed cameras in reception areas, retail floors and open-plan offices rather than sit alongside them.
That single wide view still carries the IPAi range’s onboard analytics: object detection, people counting and queue management all run on the camera itself, well suited to watching busy, undivided spaces without a separate recorder doing the counting. Low-light performance is tuned for the mixed and often dim lighting those indoor spaces have, and Power over Ethernet keeps the install to one cable.
